Munetsi ‘offered’ another shot in Premier League

Zimbabwe international Marshall Munetsi has made an immediate impression in France, quietly building a strong case for a longer stay after registering four goals and two assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances for Paris FC.

But while Munetsi’s stock has risen in France, his parent club’s situation has shifted sharply. Wolverhampton Wanderers’ relegation from the Premier League this month has opened the door to fresh uncertainty over the midfielder’s future, with the club now preparing for life in the Championship.

Foot Mercato reports that Nottingham Forest are pushing to reach an agreement with Wolves for Munetsi, with the Premier League side emerging as serious contenders for his signature ahead of the summer window.

The report adds that Munetsi would be open to remaining at Paris FC, where he has quickly settled and impressed, but the French side have yet to open formal talks with Wolves over a permanent move.

Forest are understood to be strong admirers of Munetsi’s profile and view the Zimbabwean as a key midfield option, with the club looking to reinforce in anticipation of another demanding Premier League campaign.

One of the major drivers behind the move is said to be Vitor Pereira. Now in charge at Nottingham Forest, the Portuguese coach is believed to be central to the club’s pursuit of Munetsi, having previously approved his move to Wolves from Stade Reims in January 2025.
