Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Marshall Munetsi is emerging as a January transfer target for multiple European clubs as questions grow over his role at Molineux.

The Zimbabwe international has slipped down the pecking order since Rob Edwards took charge, failing to feature in Wolves’ last six matches. An injury also ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations, limiting his recent visibility at both club and international level.

Reports from French outlet Foot Mercato, several Ligue 1 sides are closely monitoring Munetsi’s situation, viewing the winter window as an opportunity to lure him back to France. OGC Nice, FC Nantes and newly promoted Paris FC are all said to be interested.

France remains familiar territory for Munetsi, who spent six seasons at Stade de Reims, where he delivered 21 goals and 14 assists across 159 appearances. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in last January’s window and has since made 31 appearances, contributing four goals and two assists.
