Richards Bay FC have parted ways with Zimbabwean striker Knox Mutizwa, bringing a short spell at the club to an abrupt end.
Mutizwa, who joined the Natal Rich Boyz at the start of the season after leaving Golden Arrows, exits after just a few months. The 32-year-old made 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals.
His departure comes as a surprise, particularly after he was instructed to leave early last week and stopped training with the squad. The reasons behind the decision remain unclear, especially with just two months left in the 2025/26 campaign.
Mutizwa had been brought in to bolster the attack following the exit of Yanela Mbuthuma to Orlando Pirates, but his time at the club has now ended sooner than expected.
Further changes could follow, with indications that Richards Bay may still reshape their squad before the end of the season.
