Msendami promises direct, all-out attack as Pirates boost their wings

Orlando Pirates have bolstered their wide attacking options with the signing of highly rated Zimbabwean international Daniel Msendami.

The 25-year-old winger arrives from fellow Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants, where he made 13 appearances this season and scored once, memorably against Pirates.

Msendami told the club’s media, described himself as a direct, forward-thinking wide player.

“The type of player I am, I am very direct as a winger,” Msendami said.

“I am always thinking of going forward. I am that type of winger. Going forward is the only thing I do when I get the ball,” the new Orlando Pirates attacker added.

Msendami brings international pedigree and continental experience to Orlando Pirates. The winger has earned 13 caps for Zimbabwe and was part of the Warriors squad at the current AFCON in Morocco, where they exited at the group stage.

He began his professional career at Highlanders FC, establishing himself as a quick, technically gifted wide player before moving to Jwaneng Galaxy, where he gained valuable CAF Champions League exposure.

His strongest return came last season at Marumo Gallants, contributing three goals and three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
