Kaindu waves farewell to Dynamos, leaves on a high after survival, silverware

With emotion and gratitude, Kelvin Kaindu bids goodbye to Dynamos, the club he calls home, having steered them clear of relegation and lifted the Chibuku Super Cup.

“It hasn’t been an easy decision to make. Personally, I see Dynamos as my home,” he said.

The story of Dynamos in 2025 reads like a tale of footballing providence, and at its heart stands Kelvin Kaindu.

Departing Bosso in June, despite a promising start with a modest squad, Kaindu’s arrival at Dembare sparked one of the most unforeseen coaching shifts in Zimbabwean football.

Midway through the 2025 season, Dynamos were teetering on the edge of relegation when Kelvin Kaindu took the reins.

With steady hands and a clear vision, he guided the team to safety on the very last day of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

A six-match unbeaten run, crucial victories, and an inspired squad lifted the club from despair, while Kaindu also led them to Chibuku Super Cup glory.

“The main objective set was to survive relegation, which we managed to achieve, and the Chibuku Super Cup victory was an icing on the cake,” he added.

Kaindu admits leaving Dynamos was a tough decision, but he hopes the strong relationships he built leave the door open for the future.

“I know I could have disappointed a lot of people, but this wasn’t an easy decision for me to make.”

“This is a difficult moment for me knowing that I’m not staying at Dynamos, but I believe that I’ve created a working relationship that leaves the door open for the future.”

In a season that tested every ounce of character, Dynamos finished 13th, but under Kaindu, they rediscovered resilience, fight, and the taste of silverware.
