Highlanders extend winless start after fourth consecutive draw against Simba Bhora

Highlanders coach Benjani Mwaruwari framed his side’s 0-0 draw away to Simba Bhora not as a setback, but as a point earned in difficult conditions.

Highlanders dropped points again after a goalless draw with Simba Bhora, with Bosso still searching for their first win of the season after drawing all four of their opening matches.

“Coming here to Simba Bhora is a difficult place to come, for me this is a point gained,” he said.

Benjani Mwaruwari admitted frustration over dropping points at home in a goalless draw, saying it felt like two points lost, while praising his players’ effort amid a demanding run of three draws in nine days, including tough away trips and heavy travel when they faced Dynamos.

“Unlike last week we were playing at home, we had a goalless draw, and at home we must have collected maximum points and as I said last week it was two points dropped than a point gained.”

‎”Today I must admit the boys gave it all, you know the last three games, we went to Dynamos, we drew, we came back and faced MWOS, we drew, the travelling and you can feel the intensity they are putting in. They are working so hard, travelling, working hard like this in three games in nine days it’s a lot,” he added.

Bosso sit 10th on the table with four points, eight behind leaders CAPS United, with coach Benjani Mwaruwari backing the international break to reset the squad, overcome their slump, and return to winning ways ahead of a home clash with FC Platinum.

“I think this break will help us a lot,” he said, expressing optimism that they can get over their current slump and start winning games.

“Sometimes you need to look at this, at the same time we are building and a lot is happening now. Hopefully we can get over this and start winning games,” added Mwaruwari.
