Dynamos skipper Shadreck Nyahwa is calling for calm after the Harare giants were hammered 5-0 by defending champions Scottland FC in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
“We are sorry for the loss against Scottland but that is not a reason for our fans to press the panic button.
Nyahwa said it’s early in the season and one defeat shouldn’t define the team, while acknowledging the fans’ disappointment.
“It’s still early and we have a very long time ahead of us. We can’t be judged by that result against Scottland, as much as we also know the pain that our fans go through when we lose,” he added.
The Dynamos captain urged fans to stay behind the team ahead of their next clash with TelOne in Gweru.
“So, I am urging our fans to support us in Gweru when we play TelOne.”
Nyahwa, who stepped up from vice-captain to lead DeMbare this season, praised former captain Emmanuel Jalai for his leadership
“Taking over the armband from Jalai has been smooth because I was the vice captain and also a leader.
“I salute Jalai for the way he led the team last season.”
